              These don't have that much wear. Hardly any if you look at the buttonholes.

                I think what you are seeing here as black thread is the thread inside the tress, this is visible in the photos above where the threads that hold the tress too strap enter and exit the tress.

                Somewhat like in the photo below borrowed from another thread but illustrating what I am saying above in this case the thread is white.
