            Stock,

I agree with Lassi that this is a postwar tunic. The tunic is not cut in the wartime manner and the collar tabs have incorrect backing for a wartime tunic. I would stay away from this one.

                bad

I will think of the fabric of tunic is incorrect, in the neck of tunic can be seen a small white label that I have seen it in uniforms of Eastern Germany.
                regards

                  Tunic material

Even though this tunic is most likely an early post war version, based on the cut, this "mottled" cloth material is actually totally correct for a third reich piece. This is actually 1st pattern Luftwaffe fallschirmjager (paratrooper) smock material that became obsolete when the paratroopers switched to splinter camo. All the stock was transferred to the Polizei and used for Polizei summer light weight 4 pocket tunics and for the fabrication of polizei eagles on matching cloth ovals as shown here. (but officers would have a silver bullion eagle...a descrapancy on this tunic... These tunics should have the standard closed collar (I own one), but they sometimes actually did get tailored with open collars, usually for officer use, late war when that became fashionable. (hence the continuation of that cut post war) Unfortunately it can be hard to tell if such open neck tunics are late war period variations or early post war made tunics. However with this piece I also have my doubts because of the cut, the white tag and incorrect insignia (the eagle for example is the enlisted pattern and the collar tabs have the wrong backing material for WW2...). I to request photos of the interior (inside)del tunic and detars of the necklace follow without seeing that he is tunic of the period third reich in my opinion Mr. NICK G to give his opinion but in these photos based on them she follows without seeming to me of the period best photos and photos of the interior to help to thank to one better opinion.

I think that without clearing the reason and opinion to anybody, everything tunic with open necklace is necessary to watch with magnifying glass, I to see that patron is not correct of pre-45 but surely that expert in polizei to give better opinions.

Here's another one that got discussed! Thumbs up on the material, not sure about the cut...most likely early post war...
