    SS cap

Not very often I post here, so lets get to it..

Got this cap yesterday. Dont know anything about it.
They guy showed me a photo where another man wore this cap, he wouldnt say but it could have been his father. Photo was dated 1949, and obviuolsy this photo was made for fun only. Real or not I have no idea. At least it cant be newer than 1949.
To this lot I got several other things indicating that this person at least had contacts with germany during the 20-40. I havent looked through everything but the guy said that there was some ss veterans papers also. Its 2 full banana boxes. Here is the pics....

Cap is in excellent condition. Slightly worn. Soft leather in the peak, not like the later with stiff plastic. Marked inside. Looks like crusher model. Smells like the stuff i once found in my great grandmas house.

Early Alg’s are not my forte but I have to agree with the rest. There is not one single thing that looks out of the norm. I am sure convinced.

The exteror is quite nice in pictures, including insignia, but interior is marked in a way I have not seen. The headband seems, by photo alone, rather fresh in comparison to the evident wear on the outside, but this may be deceptive on the photograph - please comment or provide a close-up. I should think this crinkler would be rather trashed inside.

Many hats suffer more from poor storeage than actual wear. I think the hat shows promise. I, like Bruce, would love to see more photos.
