    SS Allg Hamburg Black Tunic

Well, just for laughs, this is an Obersturmfuhrer (Pharmacist) with 4th Regiment, North Sea District, Hamburg/Altona. Proper RZM markings/labels/ VA stamp ect. Also with original matching piped dress trousers (RZM tag number is close match to tunic's). His boots are that of SS officer Hans Mittleman. The boots came from a complete uniform grouping of Mittleman, originally sold by Helmut Weitz.

I thought this piece was sold by N&T Global trading at one time?

Thanks Paul. Yes Rob, this is the one that I sold on the e-stand. I have indeed sold both of my black tunics now. I sold the other privately. Soon, another collector will be taking ownership of this one too.

Not that it matters, but here's a better pic, all decked out...For those who missed the sale, here was the description...Enjoy...!

The Tunic: The tunic is a classic RZM issued "Rock" pattern, with 4 piece rear construction, and the boxed rear lower opening. Pleated front upper pockets, and hidden lower slash flap pocets, and turned back high French cuffs. The lining has the VA-SS stamp, as well as depot stampings, and the cloth RZM tag sewn in the inner breast pocket. there is a 6 digit number stamp on the tag, (proper), as well as a 2 digit manufacturer's stamp. When I bought the tunic, the sellers interpretation of it, was that it was an officer upgrade, which made sense to me as I thought that having belt hooks was a trait of an EM tunic. I've since learned that it is perfectly normal for an RZM issued officer tunic to have side belt hooks. So probably not an officer upgrade, but rather a standard RZM issue officer tunic. Rear belt ramp style buttons are stamped Metz. Belt hooks are RZM stamped. Front buttons are all RZM stamped, and matching. (some button info The button finish, or Gek******246;rnt, is the SS style "stippled" finish. NOT the same as military "pebbeld" finish. Although I have seen pebbled buttons on Allg tunics, I have personally owned two of these tunics, and BOTH had stippled finish buttons, NOT pebbled. The collar tabs are machine sewn, and all insignia appears to me to be originally applied...

Unit history: The wearer was an Apotheke, or pharmasist as indicated by the sleeve specialist diamond. His rank was Obersturmf******252;hrer. He belonged to SS-Abschnitt IV, SS-Standarten 4. The Oberabschnitt or main district was headquartered in Braunschweig, and commanded by SS-Oberguppenf******252;hrer Friedrich Jeckeln from Aug 10, 1933 - to July 9, 1940. The main district, or Oberabschnitt, was in command of several districts, including district IV. The 4th SS Fuss-Standarten, (foot regiment), was formed in Wesselburen May 1927, moved to Hartenholm in 1932, and then later to Hamburg, and finally to Altona. (Nordsee or North Sea district). The regiments "popular name" was Schleswig-Holstein. The wearer of the tunic being a pharmasist, was organizationally under the oberabschnitt, as indicated by the blank collar tab, but permanantly assigned to support the Sanitatsstaffel, (medical detachment), of district IV's 4th Standart. This reporting/chain of command structure was standard for specialist officers, including pharmasists...

Most impressive. Could you provide a close-up of the RZM tag?
