Please see the Beaver book on WSS Cammo. As far as I know, there are only two style of grommets that are accepted as original on these caps, and the ones on your cap do not conform to either IMHO.

I do not believe that the cap posted is an original for a number of reasons that I will not go into here. But, the most obvious flaw is the grommets. To my knowledge, these caps NEVER had grommets that split out on one side like these do. The originals have the smooth look on BOTH sides. This cap is a FAKE IMHO.
