    Correct Bevo W-SS arm eagle?

    Hi all!
I wanted to show you this Bevo Waffen-SS arm eagle.
Details are sharp, the feeling is very silky.
Always had a good feeling with this one!
Actually it was one of the first items I ever bought and if I tell you the price you will understand that I want your opinions on it.
So let’s just say I got it cheap…
I always assumed that because of the gold / yellow colour, this was meant for tropical tunics, but is that correct?

Well, that is the problem: I did compare it to several eagles which were approved good over here...
For instance one of Kurt A. :

I don't see differences, so probably I am looking at the wrong things.
          Can you help me out?

Wait a minute, the lines or space between the brest feathers of mine are too wide?
And the little triangles at the backside, surrounding the eagle, should be much smoother?

              Hi Martin

Sorry to say that I have to agree with the other forum members.

It looks like a bad bird to me from the front and back.

                Hi Raymond,

                Thank you for your comment!

And don't feel too bad, I also don't.
I bought it long ago, it was very cheap so that should have let an alarmbell ring.
The only thing that hurts a bit, is that it gave me a good feeling.

So I guess I have to study the subject more because you guys obviously could see very quickly that it is not original.

Once you have studied these for a while, this one, which is commonly referred to as the "bowling pin" fake and another known as the "coke bottle" fake will be immediately recognizable.

                        Hello bwanek1 & lelez,

Thank you for your comments, that are clues I can do something with.
So in this case it is mainly the eagles body which is deformed.
Indeed, it looks more like a bowling pin than a birdy.

Thanks again, I appreciate your help very much!

Yes. As a start, you might want to use the search function and search for those three terms ("bowling pin," "coke bottle," and "big foot" or "bigfoot"). I believe you will see the common traits very quickly.

                          Good Luck,
                          Brad

                            cheers

                              Hi Gary,

Also thanks for your information and help.
I had searched already through a lot of comparison material, but I was not familiar with the English terms like the bowling pin and coke bottle fake.
But it searches a lot better now, so thank you all!

I only have trouble with finding a 'big foot' example, the only big foot I find is the decal on the Q Wehrmacht helmet and his fake relative.
Can I find also one in your fake thread at the start of this section?

                              Best regards,
                              Martin
