        Hi Gary,

        Most impressive, makes me wonder what else you've got on hard to find items !

        Many, many years ago when I was still young and I did some Waffen-SS collecting myself, we thought the green reversed side was SS and the black-ones were Panzer. Judging your beautiful collection we were wrong all the time.

                    yes that I have also heard of over here in the UK as well, especially when people talk about panzer shoulder straps, but its no more than an old wives tale, i have seen the ss pattern with the narrow understrap with panzer piping with both black and field grey

                        I have a pair of SS shoulderboards piped in red that are backed like yours with camo material. Mine appear to be field done. Can only speculate that they were done this way in order to be worn with the camo uniform.
