SS side cap with removed insignia

    Hi,

I would like to restore this cap with original insignia. What are your opinions on this piece.
No,... it's not to sell as a 100% "untouched" one on the E-stand afterwards...

    Kind regards,
    Gerd V

This is the front side as well... I have removed the thread of the previous eagle already!

It's marked '57' as size and a faint name is written in the cap... Both markings have faded a lot though

    regards,

I like the looks of this cap too.

I know where there is what I consider a very reasonably priced eagle for sale right now if you don't already have an extra one to put on it.

Nice original IMO.I too know where you can find a BeVo eagle for a good price.

          Cheers

Thanks for the comments. I'm already in the process of buying a good skull for the cap. I still need an eagle.

Brad and Emilio, I'll send you a PM!

            Kind regards,
            Gerd V

I think you should buy a red fez and strip the insignia off it to restore this cap.

Sorry..........I'm joking! I have just read the thread about the red fez's and how they are being canabalized for the insignia.
Nice cap, good luck with the restoration.

                Hi Brett,

Thanks for the comments! However, I would never "canibalise" a 100% good, untouched piece in order to restore a stripped cap... I'd rather search a little bit longer to find better suitable insignia...

                Kind regards,
                Gerd V

That is the better way to go as to take the insignia of another original period items is nothing more than destroying history.
                  cheers

                    I think Brett would agree.
