    S.S. Banner photos

    S.S. Banner photos

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here are some photos of my S.S. banner. Hope it fits in this section?
It is made of cloth and is S.S. related. Already posted in the Flag section just in case you guys don't want a flag in this section.

Center section is one piece cotton material. With runes single stitched.
The two side sections are a light weight cloth, almost satin. These sections have numerous pin size holes.

Hangs down. Has two attachment "hooks." The bunting feels like a heavy canvas or leather. Can't see inside the hanging loop.

Size is 8 foot tall by 6 foot wide. One 5-6 inch tear to bottom satin section.

Great piece, only seen by a few choice people.

    Enjoy.

          What's it worth?

          Howdy,

          Just had one last question..........?

What is the value or worth of this banner?

I'd had few inquire about buying the item, and I'm afraid I do not see these offered for sell very often. If anyone can help, it would be mucho graciass!

          Cheers,
          Howard

              Hi Scott,

Seems strange, Kriegsflags selling for $500.00 + , and the same if not higher for some state service flags. You would think an original S.S. flag would sell for more than triple the others?

But your correct whom selling the flag has a lot to do with price. If some of the Big time dealers had it, I'm sure the price would be $6000.00 to $10,000.00!

              Thanks for your input.

              Best,
              Howard

Well.SS is like Para.everyone wants it..so the price can be much higher than something comprable..for example..mint perfect Army splinter pattern helmet cover...3500...VERY rare..much more so than SS covers...but..so so SS helmet cover..6000..so ..go figure...one is very rare..sells for half the price of the rare but available SS model...its just the "fashion" that is SS.. SS camo covers pop up with enough frequency that they are around..the Army reversible splinter cover..extremely hard to find..rarely seen..but..its not as in "vogue" as SS...the SS mystique is hard to defeat!

                  Scott,

You hit the nail on the head.

Sometimes rariety does not amount to a hill of beans.

                  Best regardfs,

Absolutely..Id rather have the Army cover myself..I"d like an SS..but just cant seem to part with that much money for such a small item....I dont think it makes me less of a collector..as I have nice things..but have to draw the line somewhere..sometimes a 50 dollar repro is satisfying in that one sleeps better at night..until one can find the real deal at an affordable price.
