Even if you don't get them, you'll have the pleasure to have them in hand.
At least those ones won't finish their life in a garbage, as it arrives sometimes with vets bringback: I had the luck to meet some vet from 1st and 2nd french armor division who brought back some nice souvenirs from their campaigns but while getting old and moving to some new place they hadn't space for those pieces of history

Besides the fact this is a beautifull lot, i cant believe the statement it is blood on the arm band. The oxigine is going out of the blood, leaving CO2 behind, which results in a dark(er) red color.

It might be real blood, but i cant imagine it is on there for about 60 years... It looks to 'fresh' as far as i'm concerned.

But other than that, i like the lot!

          im confused big time
from one picture the major consensus is these are real..and im not here to say they are not
what i would like to ask is (i follow this forum all the time) of all the other items people put up for questioning,,ie is this tab fake etc..9X out of 10 people ask for better close up pictures of the item for discussion

yet here we have one blurry photo and it's all genuine ,can somebody tell me why please

because he wasn't asking for any opinions. He knows where the stuff came from and is satisfied the are original.

I bet the skull and the eagle came from the same cap.

That #'ed tab is just stunning.

I wonder what the key was for?

If it were me I'd tell him that "you can give it to the son-in-law if you want to but I'd be happy to pay you $XXXX.XX for it" sometimes those big numbers can turn a gift horse in its tracks...

My advise would be to offer him the value of the Totenkopf collar patch. The majority of the items is garden variety. Ask him if you think his son-in-law would pay him that much. I have found that tact to be very successful. It may take some time but keep at it.

                      Look what I Found

                      Hi everyone:

Glad our SS Team is enjoying these pics.

Tragically, the son-in-law tossed everything in his fireplace as soon as he realized they were SS items. Just kidding.

I have some questions to answer here:

                      * The eagle and skull definitely came from the same cap. Boy how I wish the cap was still attached.

                      * The shield is of a lion. One member said it was a variant. Volunteer Reg. I believe. Maybe someone more educated on the subject can lend some insight.

                      * The #'ed TK tab is quite something. I'm really hoping one day it comes to my house.

                      * Ah, the key. So glad someone finally asked. According to the original owner (veteran), and hang on here, he stated that the key was in the front door of one of Goring's homes. . I didn't say a word!!!

Take care all and glad everyone is enjoying these items.

                      Best,

                      Larry
