    Bormann uniform

I am looking for a good quality photo of Bormann wearing his white summer SS tunic. It's for personal use and not for publication. Can anyone help me please?
    Thanks in advance.
    Max.

Don't know I have ever seen one. Party, yes, SS, yes but white summer ??? I have seen Dr. Ley in white and he and Marty have similar builds...

      White uniform

Certain of Bormann's uniforms (NSDAP) survived and are in the hands of a noted collector in North America. There are numerous images of him in a grey SS uniform, but I am not aware of such in a white SS uniform. Derek Chapman might know of such an image.

        Mr. Abenheim,
I'm afraid your faith is misplaced, I thought I had a picture of Bormann all decked out in white but upon looking it up, it in fact turned out to be Hoffmann with Schaub and Brandt.
Sorry, I will keep looking. This is a tough request.

There's a photo of Bormann in white Reichsleiter uniform in one of those big 'Third Reich in Colour'-type coffee table books, but I'm struggling to remember which one.

I've never seen a picture of him in the white SS uniform.

This might be the closest we'll get to seeing Bormann in a white SS tunic........

This Bormann fellow had VERY dark skin! How is it he was permitted to join the SS? How many Knight's Crosses did he win and did he sink any ships in Russia?

Skin tone was due to prodigious alcohol consumption.......Herr Bormann liked the Schnapps!

How true. Bormann was also a polygamist. Dr. Ley's wife was quite fetching. In the image are also Dr. Bouhler of the Reichskanzlei and General Loehr, the Austrian, later hingerichtet for war crimes in Yugoslavia. Dr. Bouhler was dreaming up the T-4 program (euthanasia, Hadamar pp.) about the time this image was made. What that we could extend our grasping mitts through the gulf of time and pluck the regalia off of these heads, to include Frau Dr. Ley's hot pink chapeau. I would also ask Dr. Ley's wife out for a date, but my Ahnenpass ist nicht in Ordnung. Viel Sammlerglueck.

Presently, there are three known Bormann white tunics in collections in the USA. All came from his residence in the Obersalzburg. One of the tunics is double breasted and two are of the standard single breasted variety. I have also seen one photograph of three American GI's wearing Bormann's white tunics. As to a white SS tunic, it is likely he did not require one as his Reichsleiter tunic would require more summer useage than a SS one.
