I remember about $13,000.00 U.S. - at least that's what the fellow from Australia wanted almost two years ago when I last had contact with him. He said that the amount was what he paid at the time to the previous owner, and that he felt he had overstepped his financial bounds when he just recently made the purchase. He wanted a quick sale just to break even and get his investment back. At the time, I thought the price was slightly too hefty for myself, and I passed . . . .

Yes, that's about right. A lot of money for sure but it's such a rare cap, much rarer than say a white piped officers cap which will set you back about 10 grand right now.
