In spite of the pin location, I believe I could successfully mount this one to a cap with the correct orientation.

However, it may have been custom made for an SS man who wished to wear his cap at a jaunty angle or for one who had a leg amputation and walked wit a lean, but still desired for the TK to be upright.

        Gentlemen,

From your comments I assume that nobody likes the TK's ?

        Regards Craig.

Hi Craig, I think the consensus is that both skulls are original, it's just that the M1/52 has one pin placed in a slightly unusual position..

No, far from it. I like everything (with the one qualification regarding that unusual Wagner eagle) and some of these pieces are really exceptional.

When I get a chance in the next couple days, I will try to put together some detailed photos to address the above question regarding the 'M' asymmetry.

On the reverse of the 167 eagle, although its hard to see in the photo, the upper small circular mark is actually a tiny ss rune in reverse! You almost need a jewelers glass to make it out. Ron

I don't care for that 475/42 eagle at all though!

                Nice stuff!!!!!
Believe me, unequivocally, hands down, scout honor! They all came together from the same vet- 100% origional. Regards, Ron

There is nothing unusual about about any piece in this thread, and they are all 100% original. Congrats on a very nice find!
