                      'm'

                      Gentlemen,

Looking closely at the photos of the Skull marked M1/52 I see what appears to be an unsymetrical 'M'. This type of marking has been discussed in another thread.

                      http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...hlight=M1%2F52

I am only just beginning to learn about these things but I would be very interested to hear what people have to say about this skull given it has come from the veteran. Is this the first 'known' skull to have this unsymetrical 'M' marking that is original ?

SS experts comments please this could be interesting.

                      Regards Craig.

Both skulls are nice and original and the m1/167 eagle is awsome! The m1/8 is nice even though pin is busted!

I don't care for that 475/42 eagle at all though!

                        Nice stuff!!!!!

Is the M1/167 eagle Augustin Hicke, that's who I have in the file ? Doesn't the 475/42 eagle have a different pin attachment from the usual fakes by that number, aren't they're normally crimped in ?

                          Ian.

I like the M1/52 TK but why is the left hand disc on the lower bone and the right hand one on the upper bone? Try putting that on a cap and the whole skull will be at a 45% angle!

                              Yes, M1/167 is Hicke.

I have seen the 475/39 eagles with both this pin style and the crimped style. Thus far, I have only seen the 475/42 eagles with this style. Quite nice and quite rare in this condition with both pins.

The one which strikes me as unusual is the M1/8 eagle. I have never seen that reverse and pin style before. However, it looks like a good one to me.
