    M42/M43? WSS field blouse

    Hello.

On behalf of a good friend of mine i would like to show you some pictures an original WSS field blouse. This is a blouse which has been in his collection for the last 25 years.

Please do not pay attention to the cuff title. This is the (in-)famous bookmark belonging to the well-known "Wiking" - book.

Any general opinions on this one, especially on which type of model it is, is warmly appreciated.

M42 pattern with pointed flap pocket, from these pics looks everything right!

Looks like a Janke tunic to me (look at the cuffs)

The insignia could be OK (the eagle is anyway)

I don't think one can make a judgement from the pictures supplied. One need close ups of the collar, insignia etc. Jacques

Thanks for your informative comments on this one.

Could someone enlighten me on who this Janke person is/was, and when did he start making post-war uniforms and items? Is this guy still in production?

The buttons on this particular field blouse is marked R.S.S. (Richard Sieper und S******246;hne ?). The blouse is in very good condition but shows clearly that it has been used.
