Might just be my browser, but the peak looks like it's a different coloured wool than the body...?

The insignia is good and the buttons are a legitimate maker - M5/102 is Gebr******252;der Gloerfeld G.m.b.H., L******252;denscheid (Assmann's main competitor in the city of L******252;denscheid according to the Wilkin's book)

This one appears to be made from the late war type of rough wool. Caps similar to this came through the forced labor system (so I am told) and one I have is similar in construction except for the short peak. The rough wool body, smooth cotton lining, the wide type pull downs don't necessarily match the lining material, and it still has two piece insignia (so maybe not as late in the war as the Dachau style caps?) appear to be typical of these caps.

The only thing that would concern me are all the stamps on the lining. Can you make out any of what they say, Luca?

Thanks for the precious informations Tony. I will try to make the possible one. Is difficult to read the inner stamp because the hat inside is really dirt. As soon as possible I will post a picture.
        Thanks.
