EM M43 Field Cap with 2 piece Insignia

    Hello fellow Collectors.

Just in Case some of you have missed it.
Let me say first of all.. it is probably not a "Barn Find" I just used the wrong term(forgive me). The hat comes from a private household and was a "leftover" of the mans ex-girlfriend (she got it from her father)
It shows quite some age but still appears very attractive.
I did get it over a newspaper ad,I have in my local newspaper once a month.
I do not really collect TR & SS Stuff and therefor, could probably part with the hat.
I just do not have an Idea about the Price range.

Any help and Info is much appreciated.

    PM,email or post here.

    Thanks
    Regards

My guess is that we have found the insignia stripped from a fez.

This is not my interest of Collecting but I can asure you 100% that this hat wasn't in Collectors hands before and therefor quite impossible that the Insignia is not original to the hat.It was probaly stored or hidden in a Attic or Suit Case over the years. The Person I got it from has nothing to do with german militaria at all and didn't even know that it is a WSS Hat.He thought it would be a Panzer Hat,because of the Panzer Photos that where stored together with the hat.I'm sorry to say but all in all it was a very "short-sighted" person(drinker ) and because of that,I know this hat hasn't seen daylight for ages.

      Regards

This cap is artificially aged. There is no way there will be threads hanging off the eagle or the totenkompf like that after many years. The mothing and wear points are pure crap. No way, no dice. The person who did this did not even give enough of a da*m to take his time! I hate it!

Ganz einfach Schrott. Verkauefer Geschichten gibt es viel. Ihre Muetze ist original aber nur als Teile. Nach 25 Jahren sammeln hat ein auge dafuer.

          Regards,

          Konrad
