Fantastic skull, eagle and of course a dream of ss visor cap. Congratulation, all for a little bit more than 30 Euro. Superb!!!

        A question: What means IMHO???????

Ah well, everything together cost a bit more than 30 euro.. It's funny though, I have 4 SS cap eagles but I couldn't find a skull anywhere and I was willing to spend a lot of money to get the right one. In the end the perfect one came along by chance and at a bargain price. I must have been a good boy this month!

IMHO means In My Honest Opinion..

            Ah allright

How much did you pay for the cap??
Did you buy it from a dealer or from a private person??

It came from a dealer who is a friend of mine. Actually I bought this one and an SS allgemeine NCO visor by Clemens Wagner from him on the same day. I got them both for a good price but my credit card was still very angry with me for a few months after..

This WSS cap is quite interesting. If you notice, the top cover is made from the material known as the Italian garbadine and the bottom frame below the velvet band is made from a thick felt type wool. For me, this was the best sign of originality. Quite a few Third Reich visors were made this way, from Heer NCO caps to SS caps like this one but it's not very well known. I have never seen a repro visor made this was although now I've said that, someone will probably come along with one to show! Also, when I bought it, I was pretty certain the insignia was fake but that happens a lot, I mean a real cap with bad insignia. You must look past that and judge the cap on it's own merits.

              Cheers
              Ben

But IMHO this is a good skull for a fair price, congrats

And before me, too... I hesitated a day to research it and when I finally pushed the button...already gone! I only wish that they would update their site in real-time when something has been ordered. Saves the disappointment when the e-mail arrives.

                Anyway, very nice acquisition, Marc!

I can't believe you got that skull so cheap.

                  Congrats!
