    cuff title for review

    Hello all,

Any chance that this one is original? Most likely a reproduction, but not a common one at that which is why I ask. Can't blame a guy for trying. It really comes down to: is this forum going to save me some more money? Please let me know either way. Thank you.

IMHO I believe this to be a reproduction. I don't like how the runes have been done in two separate pieces and the coffee spill for aging. I'm not that familiar with the SS-VT cuffbands but I don't like the lettering -- something's not right -- more of a gut feel -- still don't like the runes.

Look at the date the picture was taken? A sign from the faksers in the future?

        Cheers

            Hello again,

Another eBay.com auction brought to you from the seller: raglady70

            http://cgi.ebay.com/cuff-title_W0QQitemZ6610189996

Now that I look, this seller has had many past reproductions for sale via feedback, and even a dealing with the_mighty_bearslayer who is infamous as you may already know. Go ahead and add this one to the fake gallery.

A note on the date of the camera, I just thought it was Jan. 30, 2006 and the date was set wrong. Is there a specific reason it is 2007 in your eyes?

IMO the runes are too fat.

Points well taken, it is either a real piece or a newer repro...definately not an old repro if it is a copy, John

...and you know William when you post things like this from Ebay you are giving other guys a heads up on the item and working against yourself...the runes in two seperate pieces I like btw, kindest regards...

                    John,

While this could be very true, I would doubt this seller would sell an original SS cufftitle for $30.00 when the fakes previous sold brought in far more. I do appreciate your tip though, which is exactly why I had not exposed the source on the very first post of this thread; I waited to get a few comments first.

                      Hi William:

Points well taken...this is why collectors stick with bevo and flatwire, because to be quite frank, often times RZM's simply come down to a "matter opinion".

                      Warmest Regards

                      John

                        price

                        Hello again,

Check that link out again; the price went up just a bit. If it was a forum member who bought it I believe better photos would be appreciated.

This cufftitle above is a very good reproduction.
I was close to get this cufftitle what is now offered from H.Weitze, just compare it. There is more wrong with the above shown one, but I don't get puplic with such things because here are for sure some faker guys out who spy on us to learn.
