    Gary,

Yes that is what I was talking about and didn't mean to insinuate it was fake or questionable. Just curious if these titles in particular were known to have this flaw. I know zero about SS items and want to know what valid discrepancies I can encounter should I luck into a hoard like Lorenz.

Here is my arm eagle which has been given a . If it is compared to the lower one of the two that Lorenz posted, you can see many similarities between the two.
Anybody got any thoughts on these?

Thankyou very much for your comment, is really appreciated, now I know a little more of this SS Organization like the SS-Baueinsatz-Ost.
I'm working here in Slovenia, but I was Born in Italy, in Bozen (old Sudtirol) and this insigna is the result from my last tour at home, very luck must tell. In Sudtirol there are still a lot of SS Vets and almost in all family there are souvenir of the 2 WW.
Very easy found something..but very difficult to have the confidence with this people and buy or have something in present.
This is for all things, not only for the insigna, like uniforms , helmets etc.
Here in Slovenia is very difficult found something, during the Tito Era, almost all was destroied...unfortunately.
But , I must to tell that with this Forum is more easy for me with the time to recognize the original stuff, all is full of fakes..
          But, Thankyou !

Thanks for yours. Suedtirol is heaven on earth, regardless of politics. If you can read German, the books above give a clear picture of the SS civil engineering branch within the SSWVHA, which, among other things, oversaw the concentration camps and the TEXLED. The key man in this construction wing was Fritz Kammler. There were also SS construction units in Germany itself, manned by concentration camp inmates, involved in bomb clearing and reconstruction as a result of the air war. Much good fortune in your collecting and thanks for sharing the nice images. As I wrote above, one's eyes go blind from all the fakes. PS Slovenia is very nice, too, of course.

              Well...

To be honest Im not very fond of the Germania Tabs. I have never seen originals with this tilt, placing and shape of the runes.

I dont say they are fakes but they are not as Im used to see them. Therefore Im sceptic.

                ss2 tabs

I agree with Felix, I do not think the black/silver piping is correct either.

                  Hi Robin,
I know this thread is a year old but if you have a photo of this combination could you post it?
