The only thing that bothers me is why the Czech badge is so faded compared to the rest. Red is a real bleeder when it comes to fading, yet the EK2 and Austrian ribbons are still rich in color. Also not used to seeing the WMC with Sword device on the ribbon bar, usually just the crossed swords. I would hesitate myself until I could better confirm authenticity...

        Hi Jacob,
Would it be possible to get a straight-on, close-up shot of the runic device? From the pic, it doesn't look too far off the mark, but it is not uncommon to find fake versions of these devices which have been filed to make them appear closer to the originals.
Runes aside, the reverse of the bar would appear to bear all the signatures of one of the infamous 'Ohio Fakes' (check out Rick's fantastic ribbon bar article on the other side of the forum). The stitching, the backing material, the brass catch etc. are all very remeniscent of this particular faker's handiwork.
So, I think that this ribbonbar is a post war, parts bar made up from original ribbons & (possibly) original devices.

I know many of these post-war ribbon bars were sewn top and bottom with a crappy-green thread - hard to miss, but this ain't one of those. I have several of these post-war ribbon bars with the green thread but none of them have the SS device on them -- mostly common ribbons.

            Thanks..
I have just been browsing the WH guides to german ribbonbars(i was not aware of that chapter)
I think that you are right...it is probably a postwar put together piece, with some good and some bad pieces..

What about the KVK, I've never seen anything like that before?
