For a short time ago I got this SS jacket from an antique dealer in Oslo, Norway. He got it directly from the family.
So it has never been on the marked before. A pitty it was "stripped" one time, but that is a part of the history. Strange the offiser or family did not remove the armeagle !!!
So I wonder if you could help me with to identify the model jacket. It is an offiser jacket, but I do not know the model. An the jacket has only 1 metal-loop in the neck. The shoulderbords are cutt away but you can see some of it. To me it looks like a Gebirgsjäger offiser. It is clearly an offiser shoulderboard as it is quite a lot of silvertread remaining . But could this be a SD offiser jacket ?
Look at the arm. It is shortned and there are thick cloth inside the shoulder. I think the offiser had a war-wound. Is it usual to do this with one arm if you have a wa-wound or a amputation ?
Many questions here but this is a very very spesial jacket and I would love to here your opinions of it.
Regards
Derek
