    My Favourite "Salty" SS Grouping

Being a new member to Wehrmacht-Awards.com has really inspired me to dig through my collection to find things of interest to share. I'm a "salty" been there look kind of collector myself and prefer items with that kind of character.

These badges and boards are right off combat worn uniforms.

And it would say "Ouch!" Nice 'been-there' set. Especially the LAH shoulder strap.

The shoulder boards were brought into a local militaria shop by a family member of a Polish WW2 armoured veteran. This fellow basically dumped out a little bag of insignia and boards onto the shop counter and with the result that I found myself having to pick my eyeballs off the ground after spying the LAH boards.

The collar tabs were picked up at a Max Show some years ago and the cuff title came from the Ohio show (Drawbridge Inn).

            regards,

            Konrad

A very nice group indeed. I note with interest that the collar tabs were handstiched to the uniform, I also have a BeVo pair that show signs of hand stiching rather than the machine. I wonder if other members have collar tabs that are hand stiched not machined?

                      regards

                        Got any more "salty" items???

I have a VERY worn dot pattern that went through a few experiences. It's nice because it has the tabs sewn on for shoulder boards. The eagle I replaced but that is par for the course nowadays.

                        Regards,

                        Konrad
