    Gary/Tony,
I know very little about cuff bands... so I'd appreciate your comments on the Westland NCO/OR title pictured below.

    Dear Chris,

I beleive your Westland CT to be a good original example.

Is it for sale? If so, drop me a line at ibuymedals@hotmail.com

            Westland

            Thank you Tony,
Not for sale just now...but I will let you know if that changes in the future !

I purchased the Oakleaves to the Knights Cross from Franz Hack, who was SS Obersturmbannfuhrer for Westland during the last few months of the war. Photographic evidence from this time seems to show him wearing a "Germania" cufftitle... he had transferrred from "Germania" to take over "Westland". The title is actually an NCO/OR so not quick on theme for Hack, but it looks
            good anyway.

Any tips regardnig storage and preservation ?

This is a littel off topic, but for your interest here is a picture of the reverse of Hacks oaks, with a copy of his service record used as a background.

A quick tip for storing cuffs is to keep them flat or lightly rolled up.
In my early days I stupidly folded one or two of my cuffs which resulted in creating
2 short tears at the edges of the fold line. I still cringe to this day when I look at
              them.

                Chris,
as Raz has mentioned BeVo bands can split if folded flat not all but some probably a fault batch of the welt material, I once has a LSSAH band that I bought cheap because of the splits, but just taking it out of the envelope it came in created 3 more splits.
I also had a "FG" cuff title that every time you picked it up it fell apart and the title was mint!
there is a substance you can buy called fray check, if you get any splits as it does not leave a mark providing you treat the area only once and it does stop the splits from getting worse where it has been treated
                cheers,
                Gary

There are some good fake bevo titles out there but the real ones have a certain feel. Here are a couple more to look at.
