You are correct. The leeson learned in todays dollars is a 6 or 8 year degree. The good thing is that a few pieces of the real stuff has way more than paid for that,

Hopefully you bought this stuff MANY years ago at reproduction prices. You can always sell this stuff to the reenactors on eBay and get something back... but the education is priceless.
