Hi Gordon, I think it was posted on E Bay Ireland and the guy had used the SS runes to cover up the swastika
          Cheers, Ade.

                Oh Ye of little faith!!!!
Thank you Raz, first one to guess there might be more to this than meets the eye. It is in fact a genuine piece. Obviously modified. It is in the collection of a former RAF Intelligence Officer who was collecting before most of us were born.
A genuine Gold Anti-Partisan badge, the reverse has had the pin/hinge ground away and field modified with a screwback fitting. The runic insignia from an SS Dagger handle has been set over the sunwheel swastika and seems to be a period modification , probably the same time as the screback fitting was done.
Obviously unofficial, strictly personal modification, but a genuine piece.

                  Gordon;

                  Is it a solid back?
                  Best regards,

                  Tony

                    Well,

I guess that makes sense, those crazy SS guys loved this award.

Thank you Gordon, still very cool modification and to be awarded the piece in Gold, who would tell the guy he could not modify it.

He must have been a bad MOFO >

                    Best Regards,
                    JD

                      Tony,

As far as I remember it is a hollow back AGMuK type, not a solid Juncker. I do have reverse photos which I am trying to locate and will post soon as I do.

Interesting badge Gordon....thanks for showing it. It seems to me that the old Anti Partisan badge is still the one that most collectors are scared of!! Whenever one is posted up for opinions most shy away. Very difficult I know and we don't want to pay loads of money for a "maybe" or a "probable". There is one for sale on this link and the seller has welcomed opinions...so what do you think?!

                          Cool

Looks like it retained most of it's gilt finish as well. I guess the modification would make it a bit hard to sell though, if it had not been fiddled with it would have been a right cracker.

I agree that the recipient must have been well hard, the shave with a broken bottle type.

Would any APB ever get 100% approval as authentic, I doubt it.
