    More items pictured

    Thanks Gary !
you probably mean Leopoldsburg. This was (and still is) one of the biggest Belgian army facilities in Belgium. Of course the units there need to have a shop where they can buy equipment (socks, caps, shirts, pants, insignia, mess tin etc etc etc.)
This QM shop is still there , selling all these goods for Belgian military personel. But during the war they sold stuff to the Germans using the barracks and camps surrounding Leopoldsburg.
Therefor it makes perfect sence that after the war, lots of insignia ( including the so called "Reitz" eagles) were found there.
The12. SS HJ division trained there, the 1. SS division also came by. So also ss insignia are logic.

I would like to post some additional pictures of the womans' jewellery that was shown here before. The cross is made of aluminium ( probably from left overs at the Erla werke where airplanes were assembled, or from crashed aircraft. The cross shows a swastika and the wolfsangel rune, so typical for the NSB and Dutch SS. All the women in the pictures are wearing such a cross. I posted some additional detail pics of that as well.

We, in the USA, seldom have the opportunity to see this type of material. It is made even more interesting as the grouping reflects items from a Dutch National Socialist family. As the war fades into memory for the younger generation, I am sure more of this type of material will begin to surface. A great thread!

Excellent collection. It does show that for the partakers of that particular time, nostalgia was a big thing for them after the collapse of the third reich. This superb collection of a family's political views and war service is very important in a time where denial of envolvement reigns supreme.

Congratulations! This is what most of us are dreaming of to find on an attic

For your information; the uniform with blue piping was worn by a Groepsleider of the Politieke Organisatie (group leader - political organisation) der NSB and the one with the red piping was owned by an Opperwachtmeester (senior NCO) der WA or Weerbaarheidsafdeling (stormtroopers).
