VERY nice...there seems to be some very convincing fake (french) tropical Luft and SS tunics floating around (I dont mean this set)...so its wonderful to see a real set! are the buttons on the sleeve closure and the wound dressing the glass ones?

Did Officers and Enlisted men wear the same eagle on the arm of these tunics? If not, does anyone have a pic or description of what the eagle might have looked like?

I've often wondered, but I can find no information on the subject . . . .

And another thing - does anyone have pics of the "convincing" fakes of this kind of tunic?

Thanks for any help you can offer . . .

I believe officers would have just kept this same sleeve eagle on it and not upgrade to a silver bullion one, or even an aluminum flat wire. I posted pictures of two NCO Sahariana jackets and two tropical caps that a friend of mine owns on another tropical SS thread.

                    They're on the first page.

Thanks for the help Bob. I don't mind looking up answers to my own questions in reference books every now and again, but it sure is nice once in a while to be given a simple, straight answer to a question - I think that is what Forums are intended for . . . . .

                      Thanks again,

                      Brad
