Opinions on SS Armband?

Hello,

I'm seeking opinions on this SS Armband. I'm not very experienced in SS cloth, but I've researched many of the previous posts regarding this type of armband, and this example seems to share many of the same characteristics of those which have received .

I'm not sure if it's clear from the photos, but the black borders are of the same type of ribbed material as the swasitka.

Positive and negative feedback are both appreciated!

I've never seen one with the white disk sewn on with red thread. It is supposed to be white.

I like the disk to be more oval as well.

Can you get a closeup of the black stripes?

One other construction detail regarding the edge seam...the edges of the wool band are turned 'outward' with the raw edge concealed by being sewn under the black border.

This appears to be a "real" original SS kamphbind for a tunic. If it's yours, congrats. I think that the lighting is only making the disc stitching appear red. Never the less, I like it...

Thanks for the reply, Johann. Regarding the stitching, it's not the lighting...the inside stitching on the disk and the borders is in fact red.

I was able to locate a few examples in previous posts that had some favorable feedback, which also appear to have red stitching inside. Here are the links:

Of course I would like the armband to be 'good' (I do own it), but if the red stitching is a definate 'bad' point, then I must accept that.

I've been a 'lurker' in this forum for a while and have just recently begun to 'participate', and am finding it very helpful and educational!
