Great pics guys!!!!! Let's keep this thread going! The next 4 pics are from a very rare album I own from the 12th SS HJ div. I think the 1st pic really shows the effectiveness of the smock!

In pic #1, does the soldat have a metal TK pinned through a cloth one on his cap? Looks like it to me. Could be the pic though.

I have a question after seeing camo cover for the sidecap would anyone buy one without knowing they excisted until this picture came out?
I certainly have never heerd of it but the picture poofs that at least one example excist.

I think you'll find it's a cover worn over an M43 cap or even a Bergmutze,pretty sure I can see the peak. And to the member who thought that someone was wearing a Heer tunic,it's a shot from the 'SS-Polizei Division' before they swapped from Ordnungs Polizei litzen to the normal SS sigrunen and rank tab system.

Unfortunately I dont have a scanner, but one of my favorites is the photo of some SS officers captured around D-Day in France by U.S. Troops one is wearing an M36-41 type tunic with a smock.

That is one of my pictures,the 2 ss officers are from a ss mountain troop rgt, the helmet cover is being worn over a m43 cap or Bergmutze, also the soldier with the litzen is not from the 4th ss police division the photo is taken too late for that it is dated 16 July 1943,
