the chevron looks fine to me although i have never personally seen one before with the large tag before, how is it sewn on?

Hi Gary,
The little tag is sewn on the big tag, but both the tag are on the chevron with glue.
I dont know, it is beautiful with this tags could be a shame to sewn on a tunic.

Lorenz, I have never seen a large black ss tag glued on anything. They are usually sewn on, however, in this instance they could not sew it on because the stitches would go through the front and destroy the insignia.
Unless the back of the insignia has a black support cloth that the rzm tag was glued to and then sewn to the front part of the insignia with the "V".
Also the stitched circles on the RZM tag are missing a longer stitch that is usually on the side of them in the middle. These circles have, from what I could see, the same size stitch going around.
Hope that was not too confusing, maybe Gary could do a better job of explaining, Sonny

I dont understand what you want tell, about the circle of the rzm tag, I post now an other better picture of the tag where is the circle of the rzm, I hope this can help.

Im afraid IMHO your RZM tag is a reproduction.Whilst its very close to originals the embroidary thread that they have used on this piece is too thick.
Neither, have I come across this type of material label being stuck on to cloth items before!
Here is one of mine for comparison,although in my boots ( I have the exact tabs in my caps also) they show how thin the silk thread is!

Lorenz, the circle is made up of short grey stitches. At the 3 and 9 o'clock position they should be longer stitches than what is on you tag, but only at that position.

I second the assessment that the Winkel itself is real. I cannot say anything as to the tag w/o looking at it in the cloth. I encounter these bagdes on the uniforms, as a rule, and am too timid to pry them off.
