Good Day All,
I'm wondering if I could get some thoughts on this eagle. I purchased it recently as a reproduction with the intention of using it as a display and a hands-on item to be passed around during our school programs. Reproduction items are good for that purpose because I don't have to worry about the kids potentially damaging a genuine artifact. After looking this piece over, I think it is most likely an older reproduction but the fact that it is so well made, has many features in common with original bullion eagles, and seems to be honestly as opposed to artificially aged gives me enough hesitation to seek a more knowledgeable opinion. Thank you in advance for looking. I don't really expect any surprises here, but figured it wouldn't hurt to check just in case.
Kind Regards,
Z
