Holy cow, they're that expensive now? Still have the one I bought in Germany back in 1977 for $25.

In 1977 you had them everywhere , from mint stocks ! Dachau for example but not only .
You can still find these minty ones for 100 USD , no problem .
Salty is another problem ? Like the G43 pouches : mint or used !

I bought this item because it looks very used. I think it is worn.

No that means that when you use a link instead of posting the pictures, the original pictures eventually go away on the dealer website. Then this thread becomes worthless and wastes the time of anyone researching an WSS edelweiss. Stangell was kind enough to use his time to salvage this thread.

                      Thank you Stangell.

A ball park price would be around USD 100 -125 for a cap edelweiss mint. I agree a worn one is rarer but this seller asks the same price for mint depot finds. Perhaps a USD 150 would be fair but this one is listed at twice that price.

Original and worn perhaps, but not at all worth that ridiculous price. These are far from rare.

Yes, it is overpriced. But in reality it looks very cool. So the price is ok for me.
