    SS Unterscharfuhrer Tabs

Just received these from a reputable dealer (sponsor on this site). As I am no expert on SS tabs would like to get your opinions please. I did search long and hard for original examples on here and elsewhere so hopefully I got it right. Anyway opinions appreciated.

Is it just me that sees that almost as a challenge ?

The shape of the runes are good as compared to originals. Hard to fault them. Oxidation? Well thats on the buyers side to like or dislike. Overall construction? Buckram is fine, but the fold overs?

IMHO hard to fault them. Would I have picked them for my collection? No...

Ian I know how you feel I lost out enough cash to the "reputable" London dealers in the early 80's before there was easier access to information on original vs copy traits.
One of my problems is that I like to collect a diverse set of items and therefore it is difficult to focus and become expert in a narrow area therefore more likely to make mistakes.
Anyway the tabs now sit here in their frame shown with and without the glass covering - hope you like!
(Apologies to the purest the cufftitle is a copy - perhaps the next project!)

Hi Russell, well, we've all been there I'm sure.
