The SS belt buckle looks to be an original latewar steel Assmann, (although better photos would be needed to confirm). However, it has been painted black, so this would affect it's value. This is not the first time that I have seen this done. Sometimes people will take a buckle that is missing lots of it's paint, or has a lot of rust, and they will paint it black or apply a gun blue finish to make it look pristine again. This could be removed, or kept as is. Just my thoughts!

The buckle is original, but I still believe that something has been done to the front. The front should look like the back, (rusted steel with silver paint throughout). The front of this buckle is not how it should look.
