You never provided anything substantial to prove your point that the Pinkie is real = case closed.

"Believers" (in the Pinkie) can act like Baghdad Bob, and refuse reality if they want... Beliefs are irrational.

Instead, it is confirmed that :

    a)
the batch was sold on the US market by a known crook, each Pinkie was sold for a fraction of the price of original Tarnjacken at the time (those Pinkies were already identified as fake when they "surfaced" by period collectors)

    b) the design is an unique modified oak leaf pattern never found before in any part of the world - especially in Europe (many bogus sources like "Russian museums, bring back in 1945..." were used by dirty sellers since the 80's up today)

    c) fake Russian movie stamps (of an non-existing movie studio, used for a yet to be found post-1945 Russian movie) added to trick people into believing that it explains why this mysterious batch surfaced that way 35 years after the war and made a complicated road from Russia to Czechoslovakia then to the collections of fooled US collectors). Someone even had the brilliant idea to "tarnish" an original Palm Tree Tarnjacke with the same stamps to add some "credibility" to the whole scam.

Now the threat can be closed.

    See You

You folks scream fake but haven't been able to prove it other than that is your opinion. They were found in 1980 some very damaged from rodents , which obviously fakers fed to rats to to enhance selling them for $150.00 each , undoubtedly a huge profit after printing the material and making these up! If it's a pattern you haven't seen before it can't be real, right? Remember printed SS eagles everyone thought were fake til some period photos turned up? The stamps turned up in another smock and a pair of camo trousers as well. Put correct style Russian movie stamps in original garments in 1980 to promote sales of these smocks you're selling for $150.00? It was only in the last few years that anyone even noticed these stamps were in other garments , and that only because of the internet which wasn't around then. Basically, the argument that they are not original is "because I say so."

    See you, Nutmeg

Court is still out on these. For pricing, the last three I saw sold were between 750 USD and 2300.00.

        regards, Robert

Closing thread, no reason for everyone to bring the knives out. Those who wish to learn about these pink smocks can use the search function to find the old threads dealing with them.
