Your incomplete collar tab is an original Dachau tab for the "Nordland" division, but basically never actually delivered to the unit.
Found by thousands in the Dachau SS warehouses after the Liberation of the camp complex.

Hi,

you are right, this is why i said "basically", only a very few soldiers - from unknown sub-units of the division - may have had the collar tab.
But the vast majority of the unit never saw this sunwheel.

For the record, I'm the seller of this collar tab currently up for auction. All info regarding what tab it is etc. is all in the auction. The tab came from Patrick. W a couple of years ago.
