          Moved to ss forum
Give a man an opinion and you feed him for a day,
teach a man to use the "search" function on the WAF and you feed him for a lifetime.

Thanks for your feedback folks. The fellow who is selling it, I believe, thinks it's the real deal, but you have put enough doubt in my mind to allow me to leave it and but a more expensive one from a reputable dealer (instead of a private collector). You pay more, but at least you have peace of mind!

              Cheers,
              Jim

Depends on the dealer too. You should check prior to buying by posting pictures in this Forum for opinions.

I feel this is a Janke piece. . . by the band.

But still not good? Is it put together using pieces from other manufacturers e.g. Deschler, Janke and Erel i.e. 'restored' using legit pieces. Or is it a blatant fake meant to deceive using reproduction or faked pieces, with artificial wear etc. I see value in the first, but not the second - especially considering the prices of un-messed with items.

I've moved on from it - but it's still around. The fellow as only asking 1K for it, so that immediately set my 'Spidey' sense tingling.

                      Cheers!

If the seller truly believes it is authentic he would be asking quite a bit more than that.

Indeed! I've already been burned by 'bargains' in the past - so thought it wise to get a second opinion ;-)
