There's something strange here. Here's what appears to be the same gorget..........

.....but it has different marks on the back, and it's backed in green material.

The pix I posted are both from a dealer site.

The photos at the top of this thread appear to be the front of the gorget from the dealer site and the back of another gorget.

IMHO pix 1 and 3 show an original gorget.

The pic 2 rear shot, with black backing and differently marked finger, appear to be the backside of an SS Streifendienst gorget. Notice that even the shape is diff, yet correct for Streifendienst. My guess is that this seller has simply mixed up his SSgorget jpegs...BOTH backs look real to me...

You could be right..........all I know is that Pic 2 does not belong with pix 1 & 3.

The gorget was offered to me by someone in Germany. Does anybody has the address of the dealer's site, so I can compare the images? These were the scans I got,so I haven't mixed them up.
