    Unknown SS Tinnie, Rally Badge

    Greetings to All!

I have a gentleman who mailed me a scan of this SS piece. I humbly call upon the knowledge resources of this forum to assist me in identifying it.

The Totenkopf is to scale of the one used on the visor cap, is approximately 13mm in length, is marked M9/86, which is Anton Donner, Wuppertal-Elberfeld, and RZM marked. The item is light-weight with silvering identical to the visor cap Totenkopf. The script on the badge says "Meine Ehre Heißt Treue."

I literally turned my reference library upside down looking for this piece without any luck. Your assistance, as always, turns to a grateful resolve.

If you can recommend another book, I would like that. I have John Angolia's "Cloth Insignia of the SS." I need something that would cover badges this one and such.

    With many thanks,
    Dan

This is a rather poor fake of the SS tuxedo breast badge. Even the RZM code is nonsensical.

          SS Tuxedo Breast Badge

          Dear Bob & Brad.

Thank you for your answers. I have never had this badge in hand. By it's description the RZM is wrong and may have or probably has the SS' own code. I am also assuming the reverse has the wrong configuration, but most damning of all is the RZM.

Can you recommend a book of SS Tinnies, Rally Badges, and such to cover topics such as this for my reference library?

Again, you have my thanks and gratitude as always, when I get stumped. When it comes to collecting, I admit the SS is my Achilles heel. This wound can be healed with education and collaberation with my friends and colleagues.

          With supreme regards,
          Dan Kelley
