    Waffen-SS armband

    Hi all,

On a Dutch forum there is a thread about this piece...

On the back of this armband there seems to be a stamp of the Dutch legion...

I already have my own opinion on it but I would like to hear your solid verdict... Because some people think I'm BS-ing them ....
About 2 weeks ago I saw a very similar armband for sale on a Dutch aution site. that one had the stamp of the Flemish legion... Damm why didn't I bought that one... It was only 40 euros ....

    regards,
    Gerd

At first, it is the habit to post in English on this forum, so that everyone can read what you wrote. Now we are automatically reaching the second point, namely that it is forbidden and truly unnecessary to react with insults and narrow-minded visions. Third, I have never ever seen such a band with such a stamp. I believe that at least the adding of the stamp is a post-war counterfeit, and probably the band itself, too. Enough?

            With all the best,

            Cees

              Please stick to english...
And thanks for calling me 'brainless' again... I say it in English here so everyone can read your personal insults to me too... In fact selling this piece of crap as - I quote: "100% original Waffen-SS armband worn by Dutch SS volunteers during the battle of Leningrad, price 35 euro", end quote - tells me more about your brain then mine...
Anyway, nice to know your username on this forum too...

Known original examples of this form of armband have been around since the war. They were intended to be worn by civilians in the employee of the Waffen SS. Similar armbands were worn by civilian employees of other branches of the German military and government. I do not care for this iece due to the height of the armband. The color is off from examples I have owned. However, that could be the image.

I have never seen this armband before.

I really don't like this armband. But don't take my word. I have no knowledge on "Waffen-ss dutch armbands" or something like it.

I own this armband but the Bevo one, If you would like pictures of it let me know. I have the Bevo version (NOT printed) also yours looks so big. They were no that big. And inside, the top and bottom are like attached way to different to any German Armband made during WWII. They seem to have folded it and stiched it all the way around. Its weird.

Don't ever buy "printed" armbands. or printed anything. Its a high possibility that are 'fake'. . Printed stuff is so easy to reproduce.

                    Good luck!
