need opinions on this tunic

It might be an original tunic, but it is not an original SS tunic. It has three belt hook holes, the SS tunics only had two, only Wehrmact and Luftwaffe uniforms had three. But since it is clearly not blue, that makes it a Wehrmact uniform. Sorry

Hi Paul,
there were Heer tunics with 3 belt hook holes issued to ss units. I have also seen pictures of ss tunics with 4 belt hook holes.Therefore, the hole issue in general, is "relevant".

I like the fact that the rank chevrons are applied differant and probably later than the sleeve eagle. Applied as he gained rank? That would apply to the collar rank insignia also.

now if I offered this as a 100% original Totenkopf tunic Id be laughed (or chased) out of any serious show on the planet.Rest assured this tunic showed evidence of a prior Heer eagle!

Kind of like Hitler's uniform!
