Dear Colleague, I was struck more by his facial expression, actually. Do you believe the piping of his cap is pink? I cannot tell, but if the image is 1942, then someone has to turn this man into Himmler. I rather think all these chaps had other things on their minds. One of the most pleasing aspects of these militaria fora are these marvelous images which reveal more than merely picayune uniform details. As one who spends a lot of time with soldiers, I pay attention also to them as people, actually. We look forward to your Suedtiroler.
