        Buckle ......

I have an early 822/37 aluminium buckle and belt. The markings on my buckle are at the front close to the hook and not under the post where this mark has been situated. I feel this is a wrong mark in the wrong place for this type of buckle .... Therefore IMO this is probaly a new trype of fake as it is nicely excuted. David

The man who's word is final in MY eyes regarding SS buckles is JPR maybe a look through the buckle forum on this site will help as JP used to be a moderator there, there are also plenty other who are qualified and will be able to help you as well.
          cheers

              Hi,

I've already posted that buckle on the buckle section:

              http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=112035

I think we need to be very carefull with this piece... It's for sale on a Belgian auction site... The 'buy it now' price is 200 Euro...

About a month ago it has been for sale on the same auction site, by the same seller... The 'buy it now' price was 225 euro... I thought the buckle looked OK, so I bid 200 euro on it... A day later another user outbid me. As I was buying another piece I passed this buckle... The ending price was 220 euro... (The reserve was met)... Why is this buckle for sale again ??? Because the seller is a shill bidder?? Or because the winner didn't like it when he got it in his hands?? Anyway I really would like to see the buckle in bright day light and I would like to see the rivet as well... This is a tricky one... Because there seems to be too much doubt, I'd pass...

              regards,
              Gerd
