    Matt,

    By far the most common buttons on the white side of W-SS parkas were made of pressed paper - see Beaver's camo book page 198. The buttons shown are IMHO non-standard and as a consequence are a very red flag.

    The oakleaf pattern is the most reproduced of the SS patterns - may I ask what the camo repetition is? Pick an obvious point on the camo and then measure as accurately as you can to the same point on the next repeat of the pattern. Cheers,

      Whats the camo material made out of.
      This one feels thick and kind of almost slick. definately not a cotton feel.

        The fabric (outer layers) was 100% rayon and treatened with persistol for better water repelancy. Todays repros feel different, they are commonly using a wider thread and water repelency is (if at all) gained by a teflon treatment. This set here is an example that was probably made for reenacting and not to fool someone...
