I am in the process of narrowing down the identity of the original owner.Prior to the war, the SS TKV was a fairly small organization making my search easier The medal loops tell a lot. There are no loops for a ribbon bar, eliminating a WWI veteran. I have located by searching the Dienstalterliste four officers of this rank in the 1938-39 edition. of the four, three files exist at the National Archives. With some dillegent research, I believe this tunic belonged to one of two of the four individuals. I base this one the alterkampfer winkel. Of the four, only two have an early SS number. Of these two, I have knowledge that at least one of the men has his dossier at the National Archives in Washington DC. Of the four, three dossiers exist. I will be ordering all of those known as should be able to make an educated attribution when I get these documents. Prior to the war, the Totenkopf Verband was a fairly small organization making research a lot easier.

As always, fabulous Bob. Do I see a sleeve specialist patch on the lower left forearm?
