      Armbands Real Or Fake?

HMMMM,I WOULD SAY THE SS,PEOPLES ARMY AND RED CROSS ARE
ORIGINAL.I'M NOT SURE ON THE OTHER TWO.THE SS ONE LOOKS
SPOT ON .WOULD I BE CORRECT IN SAYING ITS MADE FROM WOOL,
6 PART SWASTIKA AND DISK MADE FROM RAYON TYPE SILK FABRIC?
HAVE YOU TRIED THE UV LIGHT AND BURN TEST?THAT WILL TELL YOU
IF THEY'RE MADE FROM ARTIFICIAL FIBRES OR NOT.
THE PARTY ARMBAND COULD WELL BE AN EARLY UN OFFICIAL TYPE.
SOME PARTY MEMBERS HAD THEIR OWN MADE.IF YOU LOOK AT REALLY
EARLY NAZI PARTY MEETINGS,YOU WILL SEE HOME MADE BANNERS,FLAGS,
ARMBANDS AND INSIGNIA.I HAVE AN ORIGINAL NAZI PARTY ARMBAND IN
WOOL MADE FROM THE SAME MATERIALS AS THE SS ONE.ALL D.V.W
ARMBANDS WHERE SCREEN PRINTED.THIS ORGANISATION WAS SET UP
IN THE LAST MONTHS OF THE WAR TO DEFEND BERLIN.I'VE SEEN A PICTURE
OF JOSEPH GOEBBAL'S HANDING OUT ARMBANDS TO VOLUNTEERS,USUALLY
OLD MEN OR VERY YOUNG HITLER YOUTH MEMBERS.

      HAPPY COLLECTING

For an "SS Mime" you are pretty vocal...

The problem with some more commonly encountered pieces like these is that it can be hard to tell from pictures. I think they all look good, in my opinion, The stamp on the strecher bearer looks sort of odd, and just about every country had a red cross armband. That being said. I do like them. The early party one is typical for the time, and the SS one as mentioned is what you like to see. Dod they all come togther? were they from a vet? you didn't mention the circuimstances. (Not that you buy the story, but it can help)

I personally shy away from burn tests, (especially if you haven't bought the item yet - I had a guy rip an AH bevo cufftitle of mine in half looking for a thread to test...it was real...) but on items like these a quick hit with a UV light will help. But IMO if they were cheap enough, I'd buy them all.
