Display: Two SS uniforms on mannequins

    Dear fellow collectors!

As a dedicated “mannequin man” I vacuum clean the Internet and militaria shops for little German WWII details that makes the difference. Enclosed are pictures of two original SS uniforms. The best thing in life (when I am in the collector mood that is) is to put on a ribbon bar here and a little D ring there, and Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo – he is finished and I can admire the result until 3am in the morning I am definitely not the only collector with this fascination for little details, and this picture of two of my SS mannequins (now the way I want them) is to inspire other collectors who also are into the “mannequin department”… ok Gentlemen, a couple of MP pouches would have been great, and who said anything about not having the same MP-$P$O$U$C$H dream each night!?

But I have not married jet, so it is just a matter of time (I mean the MP pouches, not the wedding)

Nice mannequins. May I ask where did you buy them?

BTW, the Y-straps' hook on the back strap usually holds a belt without using D-ring loop.

True, but they were sometimes used to lengthen the Y straps as well. I have a period picture somewhere of a soldier using a d ring loop with his Y straps on the rear of his belt.

          Hello bnz.42

Thank you, I have bought the mannequins here in Norway, from a lady who had to close down her shop. She told me that they were made in/bought from Italy. The reason why I use a D-loop on the backside, is that the Y-strap is to it’s maximum in the front, and if I fasten it directly to the belt it is a little bit short, as Glenn points out That mannequin is a size 43Long.

PS! Pictures of two other mannequins as well: One DAK artillery officer and one DRK “SS Lebensborn” nurse.

Thanx, Glenn, that's good news for me too

VERY well done! I love how the accessories bring them to life. I know that they can cost as much as the uniforms themselves....Spectacular!
