I was scanning some of my photos the other day including the following from LSSAH, it appears to be the invasion of the Netherlands (city of Rotterdam). Quite interesting uniform details including camo.

Beautiful pictures!
Picture #1 was taken in the "van der Takstraat" on the Noordereiland which was on the south side of the Willemsbridge were the fighting in Rotterdam concentrated and lasted four days.
Picture #4 was taken in Rotterdam South on the "Dordtselaan" before the colum moved to the Noordereiland. The pictures were, as far as I know, taken on either May 14th or 15th.
Great shots!

Very interesting indeed! Notice the grenades stuffed down the boots of the two on the right hand side. What is the rifle held by the man third from the right? The bolt handle looks too straight to be a k98, any ideas?

Ben - thank you very much for identifying the places & dates.
Peter - the motorcycle with the Dutch national identification sign NL is indeed civilian, probably "organized" by the troops during the battle. I have zoomed in on the gun, looks like a standard 98. Also note one of the soldiers has a signal gun ready in his hand, picture appears to be taken immediately when the fighting ceased.Attached FilesLast edited by prorege1; 07-10-2005, 05:13 AM.Looking for any original items related to Danish W-SS volunteers
