    Dutch Volunteers Arm Badge

This badge is one of a small collection of souvenirs that my dad brought back at the end of WW2. He served in France, Belgium and Holland. I have put pictures of the collection up in the Collections forum, see

    http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=108059

Pictures of the badge are on my web site at

Guymauve has identified it as an arm badge for the "Weer Afdelingen" (a sort of SA) of the NSB (dutch nazi party), also worn by dutch members of the NSKK.

I have seen other examples of this pattern in other threads but with a woven wolfsangel. Is there any significance to the gilded metal wolfsangel on this one? Any further info on this piece would be much appreciated. Any ideas on value - it is totally genuine?

    Thanks

Steve, I also have never seen a metal wolfsangel, maybe a Dutch member could help us. However all the wolfsangels that I have seen on that badge have been of gold color. Sonny

I do not think you have to worry about the originality of this badge. All kind of variations were worn and this seems to be one of them.

      All the best,

      Cees

Metal wolf hooks were used on caps.
